  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday at Cathy Matson's Country Garden in Enumclaw.
  • Why Go: Arts Alive in Enumclaw will present its 8th annual Art in the Garden Juried Art Show this weekend. Come and browse the wide selection of blown glass, fused glass, garden bells, jewelery, rock art, pottery, photography, metal art, and more at this unique garden art show.
  • Cost: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake.
  • Why Go: Don't be surprised if you see a few pirates around Bonney Lake this weekend, it's just the opening weekend of the Mid-summer Renaissance Faire. So unleash your inner pirate and join the fun! The fair will feature full contact jousting, equestrian acrobatics, world-class fencing demonstrations, country dancing, games, music, magicians, puppet shows and more!
  • Cost: Tickets range from $10 to $16. Check out the prices here.

      Where/When: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Lake Washington, between the I-90 and the 520 bridges.

  • Why Go: If there was ever a good reason to leave the Claw, the Blue Angels is as good as any! The closest and probably best spot to catch the air show is at in Renton. Just get there early; it'll be packed.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, at Heritage Recreation Center in Puyallup.
  • Why Go: Head over to Puyallup Friday for an evening of fun under the stars. Despicable Me will be showing on the jumbo outdoor screen. All you need to do is grab some friends, blankets, lawn chairs and the bug spray! Haven't seen Despicable Me? You're in for a treat, check out the film's trailer so you know what you're in for.
  • Cost: Free.
     

  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.
  • Why Go: Woofstock is one part live music, two parts pet entertainment, and 100 parts great pets that need homes. The music line-up will feature Gina Belliveau, Erina McGann and returning headliner Automatic Theory. The festival will also feature Dachshund races, disk dog performances, a City Dog Cover search contest, and of course all the those cute and cuddly adoptable pets.
  • Cost: Entry fee is $10, and proceeds go to the Woofstock grant program. So even if you're not in the market to bring home a new furry friend, you'll still be supporting a great cause.

Where/When Aug. 6, Crystal Mountain, noon to 5 p.m.

Why Go: Beer and live entertainment.

Cost: $15 gets you in, a beer mug and 5 tickets for tasting a variety of beers.
