Eastside Hushpuppy 4-H and the Olympic Kennel Club Fun MatchWhere/When: , Saturday, Feb. 26, and Sunday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. until the fun is done.

Why Go: This is a great public event where visitors can see dogs compete in obedience, rally and junior showmanship challenges.
Cost: FREE!
Where/When: Crystal Mountain Ski Area, daily 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Why go: Spring is on (sort of) so get out and get some turns before winter ends.
Cost: Adults $65, Youth $60, Children younger than 10 are FREE.
River Rush 5k Fun Run and WalkWhere/When: Roegner Park in Auburn, Saturday, Feb. 26, beginning at 9 a.m.
Why Go: A good run followed by great music and a chance to win fun prizes all while supporting Auburn Riverside High School's Ravens Crew mentorship program.
Cost: $25 (registration closing date is Friday, Feb. 25; see website for details)
The Northwest Flower and Garden ShowWhere/When: Washington State Convention Center, Thursday, Feb. 24, to Saturday, Feb. 26. Doors open at 9 a.m.
Why Go: The weather forecast for this weekend is COLD. Get out of the cold and remember what spring feels like at this event featuring thousands of plants and flowers in full bloom.
