- Where/When: 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. on Sunday in the parking lot of the in Sumner.
- Why Go: Join Ascension Theatre Productions for the final weekend of the award-winning musical, Seven Clever Pirates. The production is a gut-busting, merry musical that the entire family is sure to enjoy!
- Cost: Tickets: $8 for students and seniors; $12 for adults; $30 for families of four.
- Where/When: 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Sunday at the Puyallup Fair Grounds.
- Why Go: The Puyallup Fair is back! So grab your friends and family and head to Puyallup for all the attractions you'd expect plus a few extras. Activities and entertainment include animal shows, 4-H and FFA students competing, grange displays, home arts cooking contests and quilts, the International Photo Exhibition that draws entries from all corners of the globe, Hobby Hall, floral designs, and rides, including the new thrill ride, Vertigo. Patch will even have a booth at the Fair this year so be sure to stop by to say hi while you pick up some free Patch swag. However, Thursday is our last day there.
- Cost: Admission ranges from $9 to $11. Kids under 5 are free.
- Where/When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept 17, at Sumner Senior Center.
- Why Go: Join the Sumner Arts Commission and the Sumner Library for a Q & A discussion with eight published authors Saturday at the Sumner Senior Center. The event will include book signings, handouts, lunch with authors, drawings for prizes, and even a free 10 page writing critique.
- Cost: $10 at the door, which includes lunch.

- Where/When: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, along the Gig Harbor waterfront.
- Why Go: Enjoy a day of fun with family and your furry best friend Saturday along the Gig Harbor waterfront. Dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds are welcome. Just register and arrive with your dog at the check-in any time between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. After you check in, enjoy a leisurely walk along the waterfront and be sure to have your entry card stamped by event staff. At the end of the walk, turn in your card for a chance to win a drawing for great prizes!
- Cost: Registration ranges from $10 - $30.
- Where/When: 9 a.m. - noon Saturday, Sept 17, at various locations. Meet at the Pierce Transit parking lot behind Wendy's off Highway 410 between 8:30 and 9 a.m. to be assigned work locations.
- Why Go: Help keep Bonney Lake looking beautiful at this annual beautification event. No experience necessary, and all are welcome.
- Cost: Free.
- Where/When: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept 17, at Historic Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood.
- Why Go: See history come alive Saturday in Lakewood as re-enactors live and work as soldiers, wives, children and friends. Never seen the re-enactors at Fort Steilacoom? Check out this Youtube video of a civil war reenactment to get an idea of what you're in for.
- Cost: Admission is free. Donations are accepted.
- Where/When: 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at in Enumclaw.
- Why Go: Come root on the Hawks this Sunday morning at the Yella Beak as they take on everyone's favorite team to hate, the Pittsburgh Steelers! The Yella Beak has a HUGE big screen TV and will be serving a tasty Sunday breakfast. Go Seahawks!
- Cost: No cover.
