WHEN? Tuesday, July 5th at 11 a.m.

WHY GO? Kick off this season’s Kid’s Club events at Cedarview Park with Cap’n Arr and his parrot friend Paridiso for a silly comedy show. Cap’n Arr will entertain the whole family with sing-a-long songs, and tutorials on talking and walking like a pirate – audience participation is likely. Kids are encouraged to dress like a pirate for this event.

STARS & STRIPES CELEBRATION – ENUMCLAW

WHEN? Monday, July 4th, starting at 8am

WHY GO? Bring the whole family for this 11th annual city-wide celebration. The day kicks off with a free Pancake Breakfast at the Enumclaw Senior Center and if followed by a parade down Cole Street at noon. Kids wanting to participate in the parade can decorate their bikes from 10-11:30am at the corner of Cole and Myrtle Streets. Come back later for the fireworks display at Enumclaw’s Expo Center at 9:45pm.

MUSIC OFF MAIN – SUMNER PARKS

WHEN? Friday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m.

WHY GO? Usher in summer with Sumner’s free music events – ideal for the whole family. This first concert showcases the Puyallup Valley Community Band at Rainier View Park, located off Mead-McCumber Road and Valley Avenue.

HOW MUCH? Free

JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE AND BEN – PUYALLUP PUBLIC LIBRARY

WHEN? July 1st from 3-4 p.m.

WHY GO? Bring the kids to this storytime that focuses on our founding fathers in a silly story from their boyhood. Crafts and a short movie about Betsy Ross are also included in this event. Kids are five and up may get the most out of this event, though it is open to children and families of all ages. No registration is required.

HOW MUCH? Free

OUTDOOR LASER TAG – BUCKLEY YOUTH ACTIVITY CENTER

WHEN? Thursday, June 30th at 1 p.m.

WHY GO? Buckley’s Summer Fun Days are held every Thursday afternoon between 1 and 2 p.m. This week, kids age 8 and up can play outdoor laser tag. Registration is required and space may be limited. Contact the Youth Activities Coordinator at 360-829-6534
