Great Escape: Movie Better Than a Dark Cave

Find an escape in the cool dark of one of America's favorite pastimes.

With so much going on in these early weeks of summer and the added activity of keeping kids entertained while out of school, the best escape might be holing yourself off in a dark cave for a few days.

Seeing as how caves are hard to come by, not to mention all that responsibility that might be hard to pawn off; find solace this week in a cool, darkened movie theater.

Whether you consider one of the mega-multiplexes with 3-D features and upscale eats, or a quieter, off-the-beaten track art house cinema, both will offer the greatest escape for both mind and body.

If planning a date night, consider The Grand Cinema in Tacoma for indie flicks getting rave reviews such as Brad Pitt’s The Tree of Life.  While on your way to The Grand, swing by Farrelli’s Wood Fire Pizza on 6th Avenue in Tacoma for dinner and enjoy salads, wine and a pizza in addition to your movie tickets for less than $40! Enumclaw also offers an art house feel with Hollywood titles at Chalet Theater located on Wells Street and Griffin Avenue, adjacent to the Police Station.
