Great Escape: Stehekin Landing Resort
Escape the modern world for Stehekin Landing Resort in Eastern Washington.

Trek over to this remote resort in the North Cascades National Park for an escape from the real world. There are no roads, making the only ways to get there by foot hikes, boat or seaplane. The best features of this beautiful locale might be its lack of connectivity.
You will not find any televisions, telephones or cell service at Stehekin Landing Resort – nor will you find pets, smoking, radios or air conditioning. Instead, you’ll find a menu of activities that range from river rafting and horseback riding to biking and hiking and a sense of calm and quiet that might be just what the doctor ordered. The resort offers rentals of kayaks and paddleboats.
Eastern Washington temperatures and sunshine lend to a long season that spans through Oct. 10, although there are year-round activities here. Rooms start at $112 per night during the peak season. Boats from Chelan to Stehekin range from 2-4 hour rides and cost $39-$59 roundtrip.
