Coming this Friday May 6th Pacific Raceways will be holding the Annual Air Force Reserve All High School Drags. This year presented by the Air Force Reserve, “Start Your Adventure!” Along with the participating teams and drivers from the local High Schools will be the ever popular “Burnout” contest, and if that is not enough this year there is something new being added and that is the Truck Tug-of-War. The overall winner of the meet will go head-to-head with one of the Top Fuel drivers at the nationally televised Mello Yello NHRA Nationals being held August 5th though 7th. Think you could take on the best of the NHRA? What would a win like that do for your “bragging rights” for the year? Tickets are $30 for Student & Alumni Tech Card (Alumni Class is open to anyone 3 years or less out of High School). There are $10 tickets for spectators. Get in for 5 bucks, simply by showing your ASB card and for the kids well, they get in free. The gates open at 1:00 PM with racing from 4 PM to curfew at 11 PM. This race as in the past is a great place to spend a Friday night. Will you be the one holding up the trophy when all the smoke clears, and more importantly get to place it in your school’s trophy case next to those “other” trophies?
