Keeping it in the Family for June Makeover Winner
Melissa Nachtsheim was chosen as the May winner thanks to a nomination by friend Vera Rush. For June, our judges chose her mother Debbi Metzger thanks to - you guessed it - Melissa's own nomination.

We announced a month ago that Melissa Nachtsheim, the this year, was chosen as our May makeover winner thanks to a nomination from friend Vera Rush.
Time has flown quickly and the June 10 contest deadline came and went. Our judges took a look at all the entries we've received since we started in March and decided that for June, Melissa's own nomination of her mother Debbi Metzger garners the win.
Melissa said of her mother: "During my illness, through all the unknowns and scary diagnoses she has been by my side; taking countless time off work to be by my side and to help care for my children. Even after all my hospital stays she was driving me to and from appointments as my husband was in Harborview from a horrible vehicle accident."

Mom Debbi along with her father have been married nearly 33 years, said Melissa; "their marriage is such an inspiration to my brother and I."
Basically, "I can always call Mom to complain, cry or laugh. She is always there for us. She deserves some time for 'HER,'" wrote Melissa.

Well, we don't know about 'her' so much as 'us.' By happenstance, Melissa has not yet been able to redeem her prize and so here's hoping this will be a mom and daughter day at the spa for two well-deserving ladies.
Next Month's Contest is Open
Each month throughout 2012, we'll choose from a pool of nominations submitted by readers such as yourself, one person who will receive that complete makover package.
"People have lost their jobs through the economy and can't afford to get things done the way they did before," said stylist Krystal Atchley. "A lot of people are struggling and we wanted to get out into the community and help a little more. We're just excited to get out into the community."
Entering the contest is easy. In 500 words or less, nominate yourself or someone else (must be 18 years of age or older) who you think deserves a free makeover from and tell us why. Send your nomination to Enumclaw Patch Local Editor April Chan at april.chan@patch.com by the 10th of each month and the winning entry qualifies for the makeover that month.
Our next contest deadline is July 10, but why wait until then? Get your entries in today!
