Make Your Mark for this Year's Fourth of July Stars and Strips Celebration
The Stars and Stripes Committee is looking to the community to help make this year's Independence Day celebrations one to remember.
Sure, the hint of snowfall Monday afternoon and the mid-March chill makes the Fourth of July seem eons away, but it's really less that four months ahead.
To that end, the city's business and community leaders, along with the Stars and Stripes Committee are already looking toward planning a truly memorable Independence Day bash. This year will mark the 12th anniversary of the Stars and Stripes celebration in Enumclaw. Organizers face an obstacle, however, in that with budgets being already tight as they are, they need your help -- your financial help, in particular.
The committee has set a goal of raising $8,000 by May 23 to ensure that there will be a fireworks display this year.
