ATV Accident At Off-Road Park Leaves Man Critically Injured
The accident happened near an off-road park where a man died earlier this summer.
MOUNT RAINIER, WA - A 42-year-old man was critically injured Monday afternoon in an ATV accident at an off-road vehicle park near Mount Rainier National Park. The man apparently drove or fell off a cliff while riding a quadrunner vehicle, according to East Pierce Fire and Rescue.
The accident was first reported around 5:45 p.m. Monday near the Evans Creek Off-Road Vehicle Park. The injured man was found down the side of a cliff and had to be hoisted out. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with head and leg injuries.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to firefighters.

Near the end of June, Patrick Stalder, 46, of Graham, died when his SUV fell off a cliff at the off-road park. His passenger, Andrea Vail, 45, of Puyallup, survived with serious injuries.
