Middle School Hornets Sweep Seaside Oregon Tournament
Parent Kellie Andersen alerted Patch to the success of this Amateur Athletic Union team in the Seaside Oregon Tournament that took place Jan. 20 and Jan. 21.

With the great variety of opportunities for young people on the Enumclaw Plateau to be involved in sports and other athletic endeavors, we at Patch truly do appreciate it when parents such as Kellie Andersen let us know of events and accomplishments by our local youth when they're not normally on our radar.
Andersen sent in the following note about this middle school level Enumclaw Hornets team:
The Enumclaw Hornets, an A.A.U. Girls basketball team made up of mostly 8th grade girls from Enumclaw Middle School and one 7th grader made their first appearance at the Seaside Oregon Tournament on January 20th and 21st. The girls came from behind in all games, and swept the series in four games. They came home CHAMPIONS! The team is led by coach Tom Rademacher who put the team together three years ago. ... This coming weekend the girls head to the Chehalis Tournament which will be their third time at competing in.
