Multiple Fireworks Complaints, Thefts, Burglary and Prowlers Round out Weekend Police Blotter
A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Friday, Dec. 30 through Monday, Jan. 2.

Friday, Dec. 30
Residential Burglary: Police received a report at 12:53 p.m. of a residential burglary that occurred just minutes before on S.E. 400 Street. The suspect vehicle which was also reportedly stolen out of Tacoma was described as a black Toyota Tacoma with partial license plate "B065". The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s with a heavy build wearing a black stocking cap. He reportedly ran into the reporting party's vehicle when leaving so the suspect vehicle may have damage to the front and passenger side door area. Items stolen include a generator, weed whacker and possibly a compressor.
Possible Prowlers: Extra patrol was requested for possible prowlers in the area of Pine Cone Avenue between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Animal Complaint: Police responded to multiple complaints of a barking dog on Garfield Street beginning at 9:14 p.m. The dog was seen in the back yard of the home but no one was home.

DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI following a stop on Griffin Avenue at Roosevelt Avenue at 4:01 a.m.
Theft from School: The theft of a laptop computer and guitar was reported at 5:55 a.m. at a school on Semanski Street, possibly occuring between Dec. 23 and Dec. 31. (Editor's Note: From police redactions, it's unclear if this is Enumclaw High School or Enumclaw Middle School.)
Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a verbal domestic dispute at a property on Wilson Avenue at 10:04 a.m.
Juveniles Shooting: Two juveniles were seen standing on a roof on Semanski Street at 3:38 p.m. and shooting guns into the year. The guns weren't real --they had orange tips. Officers responded and found the juveniles were shooting at targets in the yard. There was no crime.
Injury Accident: A two car injury accident was reported at 5:46 p.m. on Roosevelt Avenue at 288th Avenue S.E. Two occupants were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for their injuries.
Attempted Shoplifting: An incident was reported at a store on Roosevelt Avenue at 6:25 p.m. The suspects were described as two Native American females who had loaded a cart but left it at the door when they realized they were being watched. Both left in a dark colored sedan.
Fireworks: Police responded to a report of fireworks being set off in the area of McHugh Place and Shannon Lane at 9:39 p.m. They asked the subjects to stop.
Sunday, Jan. 1
Fireworks: Police received a complaint in the area of Elmont Avenue at 12:14 a.m. They asked the parties to stop.
Disturbance: Police responded to a report of a verbal disturbance at a home on Highpoint Street at 3:09 a.m.
Assist in Mount Rainier Shooting Suspect Search: Enumclaw police assisted in the search for suspect Benjamin Colton Barnes, 24, who was found deceased on Jan. 2. .
Suspicious Circumstances: Police received a report at 5:15 p.m. that two people were seen peering into the front window of a residence on Harding Street. They were wearing rubber face masks and last seen running toward Lincoln Avenue.
Domestic Dispute: One man was arrested for fourth-degree assault domestic violance at a residence on Warner Avenue at 7:43 p.m.
Doorbell Ringers: Police did an area check on Kibler Avenue at 9:58 p.m. for juveniles ringing doorbells and running away. No one was found.
Monday, Jan. 2
Trailer Stolen: The theft of a trailer was reported at 10:29 a.m. from 264th Avenue S.E.
DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Porter Street at Marshall Avenue at 10:51 p.m.
