Open House on Big West Subarea Plan Tonight

The city of Enumclaw is holding an informational open house tonight.

Enumclaw's Planning Commission and Community Development Department have drawn up a subarea plan for what is known as the Big West area west of 244th Avenue S.E. and the city is holding an informational open house about those plans tonight at City Hall.

The plan includes proposed land use and zoning, streets, trails and parks to serve the Big West subarea.

According to the city website, the Big West subarea includes areas that are within the existing city limits together with areas that are in the city’s urban growth area but which are not within the city limits. There are no immediate plans for the city to annex the Big West subarea at this time.  Once adopted, the plan would guide future development after annexation. (Visit the city website to view a draft plan document as a PDF.)
