Plateau Outreach Ministries President Thanks Director Who is Stepping Down
Kimberly Fish led the agency for 5 years, plans to return to nursing.

To the valued volunteers and supporters of POM:
The wonderful work we do here at POM is made possible by heavenly grace and earthly hands. You, the volunteers and all of our donors and supporters have built and operate an agency that helps the most vulnerable members of our community.
Over the past five years, that work has been guided by Executive Director Kimberly Fish. As you may know, Kimberly’s life has undergone some painful changes, and they have caused her to seek to open a new chapter. She wants that chapter to be focused on those battling illness. She plans to leave Plateau Outreach Ministries in order to resume her earlier career as a nurse. “I look forward to touching the lives of one patient at a time. I have found great comfort in my work as a nurse in the past and trust that God will continue to use me as a conduit of His Grace,” she wrote in her letter of resignation to the board. She plans to make this change September 1.

I know that you join the board in thanking Kimberly for all she has done at POM. She helped us acquire and move into our new building. She has strengthened our relationships with supporting churches. She has forged stronger bonds with agencies, such as the Salvation Army. Many of you probably volunteer here because of the way she touches your heart when she talks about our work. Or, you have made financial contributions because you see her commitment to those besieged by crisis. Regardless of how you support our mission, I am confident that you join me in thanking Kimberly for leading the agency to a place of its greatest strength in 13 years.
The purpose of this letter is to ask for three things:

1) That you support Kimberly in her decision. She has experienced a painful loss in the last year and those that love Kimberly will understand her request for support.
2) Be steadfast in supporting POM. Little would be accomplished here without you.
3) Join the board in praise and thanksgiving that this agency has an excellent foundation on which to continue its work.
For our part, the board will continue to be faithful in our commitment to serve as Christ’s hands to give help and hope to those in need. As part of that commitment, we will be conducting a search to find a new director. We will strive to accomplish this before September 1.
Thank you for all you do.
