Police Blotter Aug. 24-28

Cleanup after fight; police take weapon; cell phone arrest; bird baths in street, and more.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suspects arrested: Theft of a cell phone occurred at City Hall park on Griffin Avenue and Wells Street. Officers located suspects on Kibler Avenue and Porter Street. A juvenile and adult were taken into custody for theft.

Weapon taken: Citizen reported an adult man across the street approached him, made a remark, and lifted his shirt showing a firearm in his waistband. Weapon confiscated, taken to EPD and citation to be mailed.

Egging him on: Reporting party says ex-wife and her boyfriend just drove by and threw eggs at him and on his vehicle at Roosevelt Avenue East.

Fight cleanup: One person was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital by the Enumclaw Fire Department after a fight on Railroad Street. Because of blood on a bench the fire department will do a bio-hazard wash down.

For the birds: Two bird baths placed into roadway, along with traffic cones. Two possible suspects contacted that match description given by two witnesses.

Picture sought: Puyallup police received a tip that a juvenile runaway was at the Safeway panhandling with an older man. The 15-year-old girl has been missing since March and appeared to be living on the street. EPD asked for a picture.

Elk hurt: Washington State Patrol asks for help with a seriously injured elk on Mountain View Drive and Roosevelt Avenue East. Officer contacted a local game agent to handle the situation.

Kids admonished: Four juveniles in Semanski Street-Warner Avenue area are jumping or being pushed into traffic, yelling at vehicles as they pass. Officer admonished them.

No fan of thieves: Shoplift on Cole Street as male and female thieves in late teens leave with box fan that was out in store, not in package. Last seen southbound on Cole.

Not wanted here: Two suspects sign letters that were filed for trespassing on business on Cole Street. Employee has had problems with them in past.

Motorcycle accident: A vehicle and motorcycle collided on Farrelly Street and Warner Avenue. The fire department transported the driver to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Need help: Extra patrol requested because of recent burglaries in the 500 block of Farrelly Street.

Concerned woman: A woman is concerned about a tall, skinny white man who knocked on her door on Pioneer Street. She did not answer, but it’s happened before, and he has looked in windows and went to rear of residence.

Item lost: Two people with flashlights were seen looking through bushes at a building on Jefferson Avenue. Officer found out they were just looking for a lost item.
