Tuesday, April 19

Driving While License Suspended: A man was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended for an unpaid ticket following a traffic stop on State Route 164 at 236th Avenue S.E. at 12:48 a.m.Β 

A man was arrested for second-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue at 244th Avenue S.E. at 3:19 a.m.

Purse Thief: The victim of a purse theft three weeks earlier at a location on Roosevelt Avenue reportedly identified the suspect who admitted to the theft and is currently in jail in Fife.Β 

Unwanted Person: Police received a report of a verbal dispute with a former boyfriend at a property on Cole Street at 10:53 a.m. The suspect was gone on police arrival.

Neighbors on Alert: Police received a report of a man hitting a woman in a vehicle in the area of Rainier Avenue at Griffin Avenue at 11:08 a.m. The woman was reportedly bleeding from the head. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or the subjects.

Police responded to a report of a woman who may have been drinking who left the motor running on a blue GMC extend cab on Roosevelt Avenue at 2:17 p.m. Police contacted the owner -- the woman had not been drinking and the matter was settled.

Police responded to a report of a green, Chevy Suburban that was swerving between lanes and nearly missed several cars in the area of Warner Avenue at Winter Place at 8:19 p.m. The vehicle pulled into a garage prior to police arrival; an officer made contact and determined the driver had not been drinking.

Police followed up on a report of a possible DUI on Griffin Avenue at 10:24 p.m. An officer contacted the driver and determined there was no DUI.

Assault: One person was arrested for fourth-degree assault following a report of a fight on Cole Street at 11:22 a.m.

Harassment: Police received a harassment complaint at a property on Harding Street at 2:36 p.m. The subject left the area prior to police arrival; the matter was settled.

Hit and Run: A hit and run accident was reported in a parking lot on Semanski Street South at 9:25 p.m.Β 

Wednesday, April 20

Noisy Neighbors: Police received a complaint of a barking dog in the area of Wilson Avenue at Division Street at 3 a.m. The dog had reportedly been barking for several hours but the complainant wasn't sure which house it was coming from. Police checked the area but were unable to locate.

Assault: Police received a report of an assault at a property on Chinook Avenue at 9:10 a.m. The suspect was wearing pajamas and socks and refused to talk about the assault; the matter was settled.

Stolen Drain Covers Recovered: Multiple stolen drain covers were recovered at 12:26 p.m. and returned to the city.

Malicious Mischief: Police received a report of a vehicle parked in a driveway on Nielson Avenue at 6:45 p.m. that was being keyed. There are no suspects.

Found Mailbox: A white mailbox with house number on it was found on the side of the street on Elmont Avenue at 6:46 p.m. It was forwarded to a property officers.
