Police Blotter for March 24

A roundup of police reports from Thursday, March 24.

Animal Complaint: Police received a report of a cow in a ditch in the area of State Route 410 and 244th Avenue S.E. at 5:29 a.m. An officer actually found two cows and attempted unsuccessfully to contact the owner. Police checked the area again at 7:58 a.m. and the cows were gone.

Police received report of llamas on the loose on Roosevelt Avenue at 11:16 a.m. No animals were found.

Dog Found: A citizen reported observing a vehicle occupied by two women release a dog in the area of Jewell Street at 7:15 p.m. and then drive away. Police following up in Buckley as the vehicle was registered to a Buckley address. The women said the dog didn't belong to them but they were trying to get it out of the main road in case it got hit. The officer picked up the dog and brought it to the police station. King County Animal Control has been contacted and the dog was picked up Friday morning.

Gas Thieves: Police have received reports of several attempts to steal gas from cars in the area of Aspen Lane. They believe the attempts occur between midnight and 2 a.m. and have found gas caps scattered in the roadway.

Traffic Accident: A two-car accident was reported by State Patrol on State Route 410 and Warner Avenue at 4:45 p.m. The vehicles were no longer on scene when an officer arrived. In follow up, the officer confirmed the parties will exchange information.

Soliciting: A solicitor was reported on the 1900 block of Goassard Street at 6:08 p.m. Officers made contact with the group's leader who indicated he did have a group of people going door-to-door. He would gather the group to leave the area.
