Friday, October 21

Not in School: Police responded to a request for a welfare check of a 12-year-old boy seen on McDougall Avenue leaving school at 9:03 a.m. He appeared to be looking behind him several times and was behaving strangely. He was described as having shoulder length brown hair and was wearing a light blue and white jacket with black knee length shorts. Police checked the area but didn't locate the boy.

Suspicious Behavior: A woman approached the drive-thur of a business on Roosevelt Avenue at 10:33 a.m. on foot, claiming she was being followed by multiple unmarked police units. She was described as a white female, between 40 to 45 years old, wearing a blue turtleneck sweater and white capri pants with black flowers, carring two grocery bags. A witness saw her getting into a newer white Dodge and going westbound on State Route 410. She may have had blood on her shirt and on her vehicle. She may be a mental patient. Police have been unable to locate her however area law enforcement have been alerted. Tacoma police reported responding to a welfare check call for the same person at 3 a.m. early in the morning.

Juvenile: A welfare check was requested related to a 14-year-old boy who had been sent home from school for fighting at 2:23 p.m. The boy's mother reported to a school administrator that he had 'raised a hand' to her; she has a newborn in the room. Police followed up and found all was fine. Later Friday, the boy was taken to a group home in Maple Valley, however, due to a fight that occurred that afternoon.

Traffic Complaint: Police responded to a traffic altercation at 2:39 p.m. on westbound Griffin Avenue approaching city limits. A woman in another vehicle reportedly threw a cup at the reporting party's vehicle and drove off, westbound, into Auburn. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Burglary: A resident reported at 9:49 p.m. their home on Initial Place was burglarized while they were at work. The only thing missing was a black, Acer laptop, without serial numbers. The suspect(s) may have entered through a window.

Noise Complaint: Police responded to a loud bass complaint at the Crystal Saloon on Roosevelt Avenue at 10:41 p.m. They found the soundproof shutters were closed and the complaint unfounded.

Saturday, October 22

DUI: One person was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at 1:42 a.m. on State Route 410 at 244th Avenue S.E.

Accident: A two-car motor vehicle accident, with damages, was reported on State Route 164 at 244th Avenue S.E. at 12:22 p.m.

An Enumclaw officer assisted State Patrol with a one-car rollover on State Route 164 at S.E. 416th Street at 4:24 p.m.

Disturbance: Police responded to a report of a disturbance between two brothers at a residence on Myrtine Street at 7:03 p.m. They found it was just a loud argument.

Disorderly Conduct: Police arrested a man for urinating in public at 10:15 p.m. near a business on Roosevelt Avenue. His bail was collected and at 11:26 p.m. he was back at that location; an officer advised he was cut off for the night and if he returned, he'd be arrested. At 1:49 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, he was in custody again for resisting arrest and second-degree criminal trespass. He has again been released after receipt of bail.

Noise Complaint: Police responded to a report of loud music/talking coming from a property on 244th Avenue S.E. at 10:21 p.m. They found a lot of people outside and the situation was starting to get a little out of control though they were unable to determine who was causing the noise. Most left the area and the music was turned down.

Police responded to a noise complaint at the Crystal Saloon at 11:13 p.m. and found the soundproof shutters were up. They advised the staff to turn down the music.

Public Disturbance: One person was arrested for public disturbance at 11:42 p.m. at a location on Roosevelt Avenue.

Sunday, October 23

911 Abuse: The spouse of a man arrested continued calling 911 about her husband's arrest. Officers responded and told her to stop or she'd be arrested.

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman reported that someone had pointed a gun at her at a location on Griffin Avenue at 2:10 a.m. and that a man was following her. Police found several subjects and advised they all go their own way; there was no evidence of a firearm.

Burglary: A residential burglary was reported on Roosevelt Avenue at 9:32 a.m. Two chain saws and an air compressor were stolen. There are tire tracks and footprints visible from the storage building where the items were taken from. 

Verbal Dispute: Police responded to a dispute between a man and woman at a property on Garfield Street at 10:25 a.m. and verified it was verbal only.

Animal Problem: Three dogs reportedly showed up recently in a neighborhood on Michael Avenue and a resident reported at 12:19 p.m. that the dogs ran up into her yard and attacked her 9-year-old daughter and small family dog. The girl sustained minor injuries but the small dog is still missing. The unknown dogs are described as an unknown breed, long brown/white hair and black and white. King County Animal Control were called to pick up the dogs.

Police received a report of loose cows in the complainant's yard on Roosevelt Avenue at 7:45 p.m. The owner arrived and was taking care of the situation.

Theft: Narcotics were reported missing from a building on Jensen Street at 5:46 p.m.

Assault: Police arrested a man for domestic violence second-degree assault at 8:28 p.m. at a residence on Initial Place.
