Police blotter June 27

Employee stops shoplifter and more.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Enumclaw police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

It's one of us: Someone's checking doors on vehicles on Roosevelt Avenue. Officers found out it was night security there.

Shoplifter thwarted: Man tried to shoplift about $800 worth of items from Roosevelt Avenue store, but employee gave chase and man left in a gold Jeep Cherokee. Store will attempt to pull video and contact police.

Traffic stop nets 2: Driver arrested of Griffin Avenue and booked on suspicion of DUI. Passenger also was arrested and booked for suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Sad dog fight: A golden retriever attacked a reporting party's dog, who will have to be put down as a result of the injuries. The owner of the retriever was unknown. Case forwarded to Animal Control.
