On April 9 at 11:23 p.m. on the 32500 block of 236th Ave. SE, officers were dispatched due to the report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers contacted the suspicious subjects and found that they were lost. They had meant to go to a house on the 32400 block. Officers assisted the subjects in finding the correct residence.

On April 9 at approximately 3:51 p.m. on the 25500 block of Lawson St., officers were flagged down in the Police Department parking lot in reference to a citizen request. A female advised that she owned a vacant lot. She requested that police contact the neighbors and request that they not park on her property. Officers contacted the neighbors, who agreed to remove their trailer and vehicle within an agreed upon timeframe.

On April 9 at approximately 11:53 a.m. on the 29600 block of 224th Ave. SE, officers contacted a suspicious vehicle parked along the roadway shoulder. Upon contact with a male, it was learned that a felony warrant had been issued with his name being listed as an “Also Known As”. The male was briefly detained until it was learned that his brother was the subject of the active felony warrant. The male was subsequently released without any charges.
Covington
On April 6 at 7:15 a.m. on the 15500 block of SE 252nd Pl., while home alone, a resident heard someone ringing the doorbell. After ringing the bell, a male was observed walking around to the backyard before returning to the vehicle and getting something out of it. The next thing the resident heard was breaking glass. The resident went into hiding as a male went running throughout the house while the alarm was going off. Once the resident felt safe, he ran over to a neighbor’s house.

On April 5 at 12:45 p.m. on the 27100 block of 185th Ave. SE, a male was reported on the bathroom floor of a business. Upon contact, the male got off the floor, unlocked a stall door, and walked out. The male admitted to using heroin in the bathroom and had just gotten out of jail for possession of narcotics paraphernalia. A small pouch with empty hypodermic needle was found. The male was given a Trespass Warning Letter to stay away from the business.

On March 28 at 4:30 p.m. on the 16100 block of SE 256th St., a vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed as well as passing on the right. The driver did stop at a roundabout behind other vehicles as there were pedestrians crossing, however, when traffic picked up again, the driver maneuvered around the slow moving vehicles causing the vehicles to stop or swerve in order to avoid a collision. The driver finally stopped in the roadway. Upon contact, the male driver stated he did not have a driver’s license with him. He further stated that he was in a hurry because he had just found out that his girlfriend was pregnant. When told his driving actions were reckless and dangerous, the male stated that he had to drive reckless for a reckless situation. The male was booked for Reckless Driving and his vehicle impounded.
King County
On April 6 between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. of April 7 on the 29200 block of 202nd Ave. SE, someone entered a vehicle and stole a sports ID and IPod cord. A neighbor found the vehicle registration lying alongside of the roadway.

On April 6 at 5 p.m. on the 14200 block of SE Petrovitsky Rd., two males entered a pet supply business, grabbed carpet cleaner and dog protective collars and then ran out of the door without attempting to purchase the items.

On April 6 at 1:57 p.m. in the area of Renton/Maple Valley Hwy and SE 216th Way, a deputy was dispatched to a report of a bumper in the roadway that struck a driver’s windshield causing minor cuts. The male driver declined aid for the minor cuts to his hands. According to the driver, another vehicle hit the bumper, sending it into the air and through the driver’s windshield. The bumper did not below to the vehicle that hit it.

On April 6 between 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on the 16700 block of 143rd Ave. SE, a resident returned home to find an oval shaped glass in a door broken and the door unlocked as well as the front window broken. Rooms were rummaged and stolen items included a jewel box with a multitude of necklaces and miscellaneous jewelry.

On April 5 at 11 a.m. on the 18100 block of 156th SE, two males were observed pulling up to a house in a dirty work van. The driver exited the van, walked up to the front of the house and took a garden hose before leaving the scene.

On April 4 at 3:15 p.m. on the 26000 block of Black Diamond/Ravensdale Rd. SE., a male driver was contacted after rolling his truck upside down in the middle of the road. The male, who had exited his vehicle, refused to take a preliminary breath test, but agreed to take the Field Sobriety Tests. During the tests, the male stated that he was drunk. After failing the tests, the male, who smelled of a very strong odor of intoxicants, refused to take another set of breath tests. The male was released to a friend after being cited for DUI.
Maple Valley
On April 7 between 4-8:30 p.m. on the 27500 block of 218th Pl. SE, a resident received several phone calls from a male claiming that she had won a large sum of money from a clearing house before asking her for $1,000 to cover taxes and to send a check for her winnings to be released. When she stated she only had a certain amount of funds until her next social security check, the male insisted she send the cask via cash with a reason for sending the cash stated as a female name being a relative. The next day after sending the cash, the resident realized she had been the victim of fraud. Attempts to make contact with the male ended with negative results.

On March 28 at 4:56 p.m. on the 23900 block of SE Kent Kangley Rd., a male was observed entering public places and soliciting money from people by pretending to be deaf. He was told not to return.

On March 25 at 1:50 a.m. in the area of SE 237th and 222nd Ave. SE, a male, who was walking from behind several closed businesses and acting very nervous, when contacted while talking on his phone. He stated he was calling a friend, to come pick him up. When his female friend drove up and saw an officer, she turned around and began driving away. However, when told to stop, she did. While talking with the officer, she changed her story several times. Check of the female revealed she had several misdemeanor arrest warrants as well as had a suspended license. The female was booked into King County Jail on her warrants. Prior to impounding the vehicle, numerous miscellaneous shaved keys were observed lying on the floorboard.
