Black Diamond

On May 7 at 9:35 p.m. on the 26000 block of Lawson St., officers stopped a vehicle for a modified exhaust. Upon contact, it was discovered that the driver was driving with a suspended license. The driver was cited and released at the scene, and the vehicle impounded.

On May 6 at approximately 7:01 p.m. on the 32400 block of 5th Ave., officers received a call from dispatch regarding a possible disturbance. The reporting person stated that he could only hear yelling from or near a residence. Officers arrived and made contact with the homeowner. The homeowner was the only person home and stated that no one was at the residence yelling. Officers cleared the scene.

On May 6 at approximately 10:01 a.m. on the 24600 block of Morgan Dr., officers were dispatched in reference to a citizen assist. Dispatch advised that the reporting party was locked inside a car, advising that the doors did not work, and saying it was getting hot inside the car. Upon arrival, officers opened the doors from the outside, letting the male out of the vehicle.

Covington

On May 21 at 6:21 a.m. on the 17400 block of SE 272nd St., a vehicle in a business parking lot was observed with an occupant that appeared to be sleeping. Upon approaching the vehicle, a male was observed with a handgun in his lap and a glass bong on the floor. The male was alerted and opened the door. Reaching for his gun, he was instructed to keep his hands away from the gun, which was then secured and the male detained. Check of the male revealed he had a valid Concealed Pistol License and check of the gun revealed it was unloaded. However, there were three loaded magazines in the vehicle. The male stated he had been robbed in the past and kept his pistol in his lap. The male was released and handgun returned.

On May 20 at 11:55 a.m. on the 18800 block of SE 272nd St., a female was observed driving while holding a cell phone in her hand at her ear. Check of the female revealed she had a suspended license and warrant. She was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) on her warrant and her vehicle was impounded.

On May 19 at 5 p.m. on the 26900 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd., a suspicious male was detained based on a suspect description. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant. Check of the male’s backpack revealed brass knuckles and two glass pipes. The backpack was transported to his parents at his request, and the male cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Dangerous Weapon.

King County

On May 26 at 9:03 p.m. on the 16000 block of 184th Ave. SE, a deputy was dispatched to a Domestic Violence in progress with the reporting male stating he had been thrown into a pile of wood. Upon arrival, a second male was contacted and stated the first male had fallen into a pile of rubbish while loading a trailer. The second male also stated that the male was arguing, but nothing was physical. Upon contact with the first male, it was noticed that he was extremely intoxicated whereas the second male was not. Check of the first male revealed a warrant for DUI. Following an investigation, the first male was transported to a local clinic to check a complaint of pain in his arm. Following his release, the first male was booked into jail on his warrant.

On May 22 at12:45 p.m. in the area of SE Petrovitsky Rd. and SE Lake Youngs Rd., a male driver was contacted at a non-reportable collision and alcohol detected coming from his person/breath. Although he stated that he had not consumed alcohol, he also stated that he did not want to get out of the vehicle and that he was afraid of police. When he finally exited the vehicle, he nearly fell to the ground and refused to take the Field Sobriety Tests as well as a breath tests. Check of the male revealed a DUI conviction in his past history. The male was booked into King County Jail for investigation of DUI.

On May 21 at 11:53 p.m. in the area of SE 192nd St. and 148th Ave. SE, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle collision with a fence. Upon arrival, the driver was in the vehicle and it was running. It was also noted that the driver was highly intoxicated. According to the male, he had been driving when his vehicle got stuck. The male refused to take the Field Sobriety Tests as he already knew he was “drunk.” He also refused to take the breath tests. Check of the male revealed a prior DUI and Negligent Driving, 1st degree. The male was booked into King County Jail for investigation of DUI.

On May 19 at 8:37 p.m. on the 16000 block of 184th Ave. SE, while reviewing a top ten warrant list for King County Sheriff’s Office it was discovered that a 71 year old male was wanted for felony child molestation warrant. Upon phone contact, the male agreed to turn himself in. He was booked into King County Jail.

On May 19 at 5:54 p.m. on the 18000 block of SE Renton/Maple Valley Rd., a deputy was dispatched to a one car collision. Upon arrival it was found that, the corner of a building had been torn from the building by the driver. Unable to keep his balance, the Field Sobriety Tests were stopped and a blood-draw taken from the male. It was noted that prior to the impact with the building, the male was observed going in the business and coming back out with a pack of beer. Following the collision, a bystander took the keys out of the ignition. The SUV was impounded and the male cited for DUI.

On May 17 at 4 a.m. in the area of Summit Landsburg and 244th Ave. SE, a vehicle was observed off the side of the road and occupied by three people. Check of the occupants, who it was determined were under the influence of drugs, revealed a female had a warrant for Theft, 3rd degree, and was booked into Kent Jail on her warrant. A male, who was in the back seat with another female, stated he was not aware he had a No Contact Order, before admitting he was aware of the order. The male stated that the other female had been in touch with him and wanted to meet. The female stated she thought the order was dropped and that she did not want the male to go to jail. Check of the order revealed it was still current. The male was booked into King County Jail for investigation of Violation of No Contact Order and the vehicle impounded.

Maple Valley

On May 24 at 8:21 a.m. on the 27000 block of 213th Pl. SE, a vehicle was observed traveling at an excessive speed. Upon contact, the driver was aware his speedometer was off by 10 mph. Check of the male revealed he had a warrant for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. The male was booked into SCORE on his warrant and his truck impounded. The male was additionally cited for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree, Speeding, No Proof of Insurance and Failing to Notify Department of License of Address Change within 10 Days.

On May 23 at 6:15 a.m. on the 21700 block of SE 265th Way, a box truck was driving through a parking lot when it struck some overhead surveillance camera wires, severing the wires and bending a pole before leaving the scene.

On May 22 at 10:47 p.m. on the 26100 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd., a male was contacted for riding his bicycle without a helmet. After changing his story multiple times, he was asked about where he got his bike and if he ever had a helmet. The male answered that a friend had purchased the bike for his girlfriend along with a helmet. It was noted that the male had been arrested for possession of stolen bikes in the past as well as has been cited multiple times for bike violations by numerous deputies. Check of the bike returned as not stolen. The male was cited for Pedestrian Bicycle Violation.
