Progress on Witte Road in Maple Valley Has Update

For the week of July 18 Witte Road has an update on what to expect for delays.

Progress on Witte Road

(for the week of July 18) WEEKLY UPDATE: The installation of new storm structures and associated piping on the east has been completed and installation of storm west side will begin early next month on the Witte Road SE – Phase 3 Improvements, from SR 169 to SE 240th Street. The undergrounding of utilities is complete except for the digging of the last joint utility trench crossing across Witte Road SE near SR 169, which will not need to be energized. All of the new underground utility system has been energized. The contractor is scheduled to install new curb and gutter by the end of next week.

A safe pedestrian route is to be maintained at all times. Traffic control will allow for safe travel in both directions.

TRAFFIC ALERT :

Periodic delays can be expected on Witte Road during construction hours. Traffic drive lanes will be changed starting in the last week of July, as construction will move to the west side of Witte Road SE. Motorists should use SE 240th Street as an alternate/detour route on weekdays during construction.
