Relay for Life Closing in on $70K in Pledges
Event takes place from noon Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday
About 42 teams with 411 members will participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event Saturday and Sunday in Enumclaw.
The 24-hour event features team members walking around the
track at JJ Smith Elementary School. Members receive pledges for each lap around, or some just pledge a specific amount. As of Thursday night, participants had received $69,105.53 in pledges.
Teams often have items for sale or games at their booths for
participants and visitors to raise even more money for the American Cancer Society.
