Remains Found Near Enumclaw ID'd As Kristian Burnstad

The King County Sheriff's Office confirmed the identity of the remains Thursday.

ENUMCLAW, WA - Human remains discovered near Enumclaw earlier this month have been identified as Kristian Burnstad, who went missing from the city last year.

Burnstad had been missing since May 2017. His family and friends have been looking for Burnstad for months.

His cause of death was not immediately released. The King County Medical Examiner will make that ruling later.

Burnstad's remains were found in a rural residential area along the 38800 block of 258th Avenue Southeast. That location is near Bass Lake, near where Burnstad lived.
