Tell Us: Mayor Reynolds Endorses McKenna for Governor, Do You Agree?

Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds is a part of a coalition of mayors who announced their support for Rob McKenna during an event in late August.

We're a few weeks behind on this item but felt it was still important to share as the November elections get closer and state voters have to decide who they'll elect as their .

Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds was among several mayors who three weeks ago publicly endorsed Rob McKenna for the office at an event in Renton.

“Rob has that local government experience. I’m confident that the mayors will have an open line of communication with Olympia with Rob as governor,” she said at the event (see video attached). “Perspective is shaped by experience, which explains Rob’s unwavering commitment to local government. He doesn’t view us as arbitrarily divided districts or regions. He’s familiar with the communities; he's familiar with the neighborhoods that make our cities special.

“To preserve and enrich our cities, Rob is focusing on relieving city-state government burdens and increasing small business activity. Job creation is something that every mayor thinks about. Local governments need a sufficient revenue base and residents need family wage-based jobs. Rob’s plan to make it more affordable to operate a business and hire people is part of the reason why I’m extremely excited to announce my support for him.”

Do you agree with Reynolds? If the election were today, would you be supporting Rob McKenna or Jay Inslee for the office of Washington state governor? And why? Tell us in the comments.
