Three DUIs, Two Assault Arrests and One Assault Suspect Fled in March 1 through March 4 Blotter

Thursday, March 1
Multiple Accidents: Police assisted State Patrol with multiple vehicles involved in separate motor vehicle accidents on State Route 410 at milepost 36. This was reported at 8:55 a.m. At 9:41 a.m. it was reported that one vehicle was over the embankment. At 10:32 a.m., it was reported that two buses were involved.
Shots Heard: Police received a report at 10:47 a.m. that gun shots could be heard coming from a residence on the west side of 244th Avenue S.E. An officer located the residence where the shots were coming from and it was an open shoot area. The resident was aware of what was happening and told police he'd make sure no children were out of the school next time. Both Sunrise Elementary and Southwood Elementary were advised of the situation.

Suspicious Circumstances: Police contact was requested at 12:40 p.m. at a bus stop on Roosevelt Avenue at Semanski Street concerning a vehicle described as a grey Toyota pick up driven by a Hispanic male.
Unsecured Load: A large bagged item was found on 260th Avenue S.E. at S.E. 440th Street at 1:01 p.m. and it appeared as if it had fallen out of a vehicle. A message was left for the owner while police stored the item.

Speeders Beware: Extra patrol has been requested for Watson Street after 10 p.m. due to speeders.
Friday, March 2
Assault/Domestic Violence: A man was taken into custody on assault and resisting arrest charges after police responded to an incident on Griffin Avenue at 12:08 a.m.
Really Need to Bank: Police received a report that a man was loitering in front of a bank on Cole Street at 7:53 a.m. The responding officer recognized the man and provided a ride back to The Lee. At 8:28 a.m., he was reportedly back at the bank, banging on the front door. The responding officer confirmed with bank employees that he did have an account there so he was allowed to wait by the door until the bank opened for business at 9 a.m.
Counterfeit: Police received a report at 10:04 a.m. of a possible counterfeit $20 bill used for payment at a store on Roosevelt Avenue. The employee reportedly checked the bill with a pen and it showed OK. When it was taken to the bank, however, it was determined to be a bill of another denomination that was changed to a $20.
Found Items: Police have a Washington state driver's license and a debit card found by a Puget Sound Energy worker in the driveway of a property on 244th Avenue S.E. at 11:29 a.m. A letter was sent to the owner while the items were being stored at the police station.
Click it or Ticket: Police received a report at 2:13 p.m. that a vehicle in a drive-thru on Garrett Street had about six children in it who weren't belted in. The responding officer spoke with the female driver and issued a citation.
Theft: Police received a report at 5:57 p.m. that a wagon wheel was stolen out of a residence's yard on Chinook Avenue sometime in the last few days. It is valued at about $150.
DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on State Route 410 at 244th Avenue S.E. at 11:34 p.m.
Saturday, March 3
Noise: Police received a noise complaint at 12:56 a.m. of a group on the outdoor patio of a residence on Chinook Avenue. They were asked to keep it down.
DUI: One person was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Griffin Avenue at 244th Avenue S.E. at 1:48 a.m.
Drink Tampering: Police received a report at 1:33 p.m. at a location on Birch Drive that someone was putting something into the reporting party's drink that caused her to be ill.
Juveniles: Police received a report at 3:03 p.m. that several juveniles were driving recklessly at Rainier Trails Park. The responding officer spoke with the registered owner of an associated vehicle and counseled them on safe driving.
Theft: A pair of shoes were reportedly stolen from the front door of an apartment on Warner Avenue at 8:01 p.m.
Sunday, March 4
Noise: Police received a complaint of a loud group in front of a business on Griffin Avenue at 12:01 a.m. Upon an officer response, they had quieted down as the person who was loud was already back in the bar.
Police received a barking dog complaint at 12:57 a.m. at a location on Griffin Avenue. The responding officer sat outside the complainant's house for more than five minutes and heard no dog.
DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Farman Street at Kimberly Avenue at 1:56 a.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: Police received a report at 1:58 a.m. of four male teens all wearing hooded sweatshirts walking around an apartment complex on Semanski Street by the high school. They appeared to be looking into car windows and were reportedly sitting on the curb between apartments at the high school. Buckley police responded as the Enumclaw officer was out on priority detail. They did a check and it appeared the teens had left.
Assault/Domestic Violence: A man was arrested for fourth-degree assault domestic violence A and interfering with reporting a domestic violence incident at a residence on Kibler Avenue at 3:11 a.m.
Police responded to a report of assault domestic violence at a residence on Warner Avenue at 1:06 p.m. The suspect had fled in a black Jetta prior to arrival.
Theft: An iPod and two Nintendo games were reportedly taken from a vehicle on Hunter Court overnight. The property was worth about $550. The theft was reported at 11:30 a.m.
No DUI Arrest: Police stopped a vehicle on Battersby Avenue at 3:12 p.m. that appeared to be under the influence but because the passenger wasn't wearing a seat belt. The driver was not under the influence but the passenger was arrested on an Auburn police warrant.
Speeders Beware: Extra patrol is still requested for Watson Street due to speeding vehicles.
