6. It creates distinct shopping experiences with different products; they respond quicker to the needs of customers.

7. Local shops stock local products, which do not require long truck journeys, thus helping save the environment.

8. Most people can get to the store by foot, bike or bus, which is great for young and older people without transportation.

9. Local shops need your business so they value you more and have better customer service.

10. Shopping local saves services. As shops disappear so do other services.
