Two Dogs Found and $500 Ring, Computer Stolen in Multiple Vehicle Prowls in July 26 to July 29 Blotter

Thursday, July 26
Disturbance: Two people were arrested after police responded to a report at 1:29 a.m. that a woman was yelling at someone to get away from her on Initial Place. The male subject involved was arrested on a warrant out of Maple Valley; the female was arrested for obstruction.
Police responded to a verbal altercation at a property on Sun Mountain Drive at 2 a.m. The male subject was not letting the female pick up her property. The officer remained at the scene while the female finished with her property.

One person was arrested for DUI after police responded to an altercation outside the police station at 10:12 p.m. The arrested subject had been assaulted by a second subject, who was cited and released.
Child Found: A child was found at a checkpoint for the Ramrod Race on Semanski Street at Warner Avenue at 1:28 p.m. They were taken back home and returned to their parent's care. Child Protective Services was also notified of the incident.

Accident: Police assisted first responders with traffic control at the scene of a car vs. pole accident on the 28400 block of S.E. 424th Street at 4:20 p.m.
Police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the area of S.E. 436th Way and 244th Avenue S.E. on State Route 164 at 5:20 p.m. The found the accident was in State Patrol jurisdiction and that there were no injuries.
Police assisted first responders with a reported car vs. bike accident at 7:57 p.m. on Roosevelt Avenue at Cole Street and found there was no vehicle involved; the bicyclist fell and had only minor injuries.
Friday, July 27
Vehicle Prowl: About $300 in women's clothing was taken from a vehicle parked on Hansen Street overnight.
Disturbance: Police received a report at 3:21 p.m. of two 9-year-old boys in a fight at the skate park on Porter Street. The situation was resolved on location with an apology to the victim; later issues concerning a broken bone in the hand of one of the boys would be dealt with through civil channels.
Saturday, July 28
Disturbance: Police responded to a report that a man was yelling and making verbal threats at the campgrounds at the Expo Center at 12:47 a.m. The issue was resolved on contact.
Vehicle Prowl: A topaz ring valued at $500 and $100 in cash were taken from a vehicle parked on S.E. 448th Street sometime overnight.
Attempted Burglary: Police received a report at 7:42 a.m. that a cell phone and cigarettes were taken from the front porch of a property on S.E. 448th Street. There was also damage to the garden shed door.
Inattentive Driving: A driver was warned for inattentive driving after police responded to a report of a recklessly driven vehicle at 1:23 p.m. on 244th Avenue S.E. at S.E. 448th Street. There was no DUI.
Dogs Found: A citizen reported two loose dogs at 2:24 p.m. that were being held in a backyard on Christianson Avenue and Farrelly Street. They advised they'd follow up with Animal Control if no one claimed the dogs.
Harassment: Police responded to a report at 3:02 p.m. that a business owner on Roosevelt Avenue was harassing a citizen. Following interviews with several business owners in the area, it was determined the citizen was initiating the problem. He was advised he was no longer welcome to hang around the businesses and that he was to cease making inappropriate comments to customers entering/exiting the businesses.
Sunday, July 29
Weapons Arrest: One person was arrested at 8:28 a.m. for unlawful carry or display of a weapon and disorderly conduct after they were reportedly waving a knife and yelling profanities at people in the area of the 1000 block of Griffin Avenue.
Driver's License Found: A license was found on Roosevelt Avenue at 12:53 p.m. and turned in to police, who have sent a property letter to the address on the license.
Fight: Police assisted first responders with attending to a teen with a head injury from a fight with another teen on Porter Street at 6:27 p.m.
Citizen Assist: Fire officials helped take an elderly woman home after a citizen reported seeing her wandering the area of State Route 410 at Watson Street North at 7:41 p.m.
Suspicious Person: A suspicious subject was seen taking photos of a residence on Cole Street at 8:25 p.m. and took a photo of the reporting party when told to leave. They were last seen in a silver Dodge van with damage to the right front side.
Vehicle Prowl: A laptop computer and clothing were stolen from a vehicle parked in the south lot of th Expo Center. The theft was reported at 8:48 p.m.
