UFO Sightings In Washington Down So Far in 2017

There were more UFO sightings at the beginning of 2016 compared to January 2017.

ENUMCLAW, WA - According to the leading database of UFO sightings in North America, the number of sightings so far in 2017 is down compared to the same period in 2016.

There have been 11 sightings through Jan. 24, but as of this date last year, there were 18 sightings in total, according to the National UFO Reporting Center.

But the dearth of reporting may be short-lived. According to the center's website, it has a backlog of nearly 100 reported sightings to sift through. The center looks at every report and tosses the ones it deems are bogus.

"One large triangular shaped object approximately 2000 feet in altitude appeared to be hovering in the northwest sky with red lights on top and white lights below and appeared to have a black line rotating around the white lights. Then, slowly and quietly it moved across the sky in a SE direction with only three white lights in the shape of a triangle. It was a very dark, clear morning with many stars in the sky."
