On June 27 at 6:53 a.m. on the 21900 block of SE 296th St., officers were dispatched to someone passed out on the side of the road in a vehicle. Upon arrival, a young male was contacted and stated he stayed out all night and was too tired to drive home. A parent was contacted and picked the male up. The vehicle was left on the side of the road.

On June 27 at 12:46 a.m. on the 31100 block of 3rd Ave., a female driver was stopped for not dimming her headlights. During an investigation, it was determined that the female was intoxicated. She blew breath tests of .107/.104 and was booked into SCORE (South Correctional Entity) without bail due to a previous DUI arrest. Her vehicle was also impounded.

On June 26 at 4:56 p.m. on the 29200 block of 218th Ave. SE, officers were dispatched to a subject distributing flyers throughout the neighborhood. The flyers were warning residents of a witch craft curse and told them to protect themselves by handling any unfinished business. Officers contacted a neighbor and learned that the person distributing the flyers was a male wearing all black. Check of the area ended with negative results. The next day the male was contacted and agreed to stop distributing the flyers.

Covington

On June 30 at 6:37 p.m. on the 16700 block of SE 272nd St., three known males were observed entering a business and making their way to the alcohol aisle. The males proceeded to take three bottle of alcohol and place them in a backpack before leaving the business without attempting to purchase the bottles.

On June 30 at 11:45 a.m. on the 15600 block of SE 262nd Pl., a male was observed driving a vehicle without a front license plate. Upon contact, the male became agitated and stated that he did not have his license with him. Check of the male revealed he had a suspended license for unpaid parking tickets. The male was cited for Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree, and then released. His vehicle was impounded as well.

On June 26 at 4 p.m. on the 16400 block of SE 263rd St., two parents left their kids at home and went garage sale shopping around the neighborhood. While gone, two males from a recycling company knocked on the door. The 13 year old called his parent, who returned quickly. Following an investigation, it was learned that the males had come to pick up an old refrigerator for recycling from a neighbor and saw an old battery sitting in the driveway of the residence. After picking up the refrigerator, they stated to the neighbor that they were going to check with the residents to see if they wanted to recycle the battery.

King County

On July 6 at 12:20 p.m. on the 15000 block of SE 179th St., a male left his phone on a workbench in an open garage to go get a measurement on a project in a house. Upon return, the phone was missing.

On July 6 at 12:12 p.m. on the 14300 block of SE 171st Way, while attempting to rent a house, a female was informed her credit check had revealed that she had been arrested on recent theft charges. Following further investigation, it was revealed that a female suspect had been using the female’s maiden name off and on as an alias over the past thirteen years. The suspect had been arrested on a felony warrant at the end of 2014 and when asked about her name, the suspect used the female’s maiden name.

On July 4 between 2-7 p.m. in the area of Cedar Mountain Pl. SE and SR 169, the owner of a vehicle returned to a parking lot to discover that the rear passenger window had been broken. Noticing that beauty products had been stolen from the inside of the vehicle, the female checked the trunk where more products had been stolen. Value of stolen products estimated at approximately $10,000.

On July 3 between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. of July 4 on the 28400 block of Kent Black Diamond Rd. SE, someone cut a cable that had been used in locking a rototiller to a chain link fence. The tiller, which had a for-sale sign on it, was lifted over the fence near a road. A bolt cutter used to cut the cable was left behind by the suspect.

On July 1 at 9:09 p.m. on the 29400 block of SE Kent-Kangley Rd., while driving past his undeveloped property, the owner noticed the cable that ran across the dirt access road was down. Check of the cable revealed it had been broken. Upon contact, a male stated he thought the property would be a good place for him and his friends to camp despite the no trespassing sign that was posted on a nearby tree. The group was given a warning as they were willing to pay for a new chain across the driveway. The fire department responded to extinguish the campfire.

On June 29 at 1:30 p.m. on the 31700 block of 190th Ave. SE, it was reported that while a female was out of town, she had a friend she had known for a couple of months house sit. When she returned, she noticed various items were missing. Some of the items included lawn chairs, side table, and jewelry.

Maple Valley

On June 29 between 7:30-10:30 a.m. on the 25800 block of Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd. SE, someone walked onto a property and stole a mountain bike as well as a remote controlled truck that were outside unsecured.

On June 26 at 10:50 a.m. on the 28000 block of Maple Ridge Way SE, a male relative punched holes in the sheetrock of a residence as well as in two paintings. Other items were strewn here and there. Upon arrival, the resident stated that the male had gone out the back door. Officers located the male walking along the sidewalk next to the residence. When asked what had happened in the residence, the male stated that he guessed he was looking for something, but would not elaborate. The male was booked into Kent Jail for Malicious Mischief, 3rd degree, Domestic Violence.

SE, a male was observed driving a vehicle with two different license plates as well as cracked windshield that was in the driver’s view. Upon contact and during an investigation that began with VIN numbers not matching up, it was discovered that the male driver was driving another state’s sex offender’s vehicle. Meanwhile, check of the male revealed he had a suspended license for failing to appear for unpaid tickets. The male was cited for No Proof of Insurance, two counts of Displaying a Plate Not Issued to that car, and Driving While License Suspended, 3rd degree. The vehicle was also impounded.
