Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Sarah Morrow

Name: Sarah Morrow,  Age 15

School/Organization: Freshman, Enumclaw High School, 4.0 GPA

Nominated by varsity softball coach Michael Eckhart, Sarah bats leadoff for the Hornets softball team. Sarah leads the team with a .495 batting average and has 18 stolen bases to go along with her flawless defense at shortstop. Sarah got her start playing softball for a club team called the Acers at the age of 9 and has flourished ever since. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. In her spare time for fun, Sarah likes playing basketball with her brother. Mom Brenda lauded her daughter's ability to handle everything. "Basically she tries hard at everything she does. Sarah is very conscientious," Brenda Morrow said.

Biggest Accomplishment: In Sarah 's eyes, it's being able to do so well in school and stay so focused in the process. She also prides herself on being a great teammate and an example for her teammates to follow on the field. Coach Eckhart also had high praise for his young freshman phenom. "Sarah is one of our hardest workers in practice," he said. "She also can get her teammates laughing at the drop of a hat."

Key to Awesomeness: "Being nice to people , and working hard every day."
