Update: Some Enumclaw area Roads Closed Due to Overnight Winds

King County lists the following roads as closed due to fallen trees from last night's wind storm.

Update: 9 a.m. Wednesday: The following roads in King County were closed as of Wednesday morning:

  • In Enumclaw: Franklin Road SE between SE Green River Gorge Rd to 1/4 mile east of SR 169 due to trees being down
  • In Black Diamond: SE Green Valley Rd between SR 169 and 212th Way SE due to trees being down
  • In Enumclaw: SE Mud Mountin Rd from 284th Ave SE to Weyerhauser Mainline Road due to trees being down
  • In Enumclaw: 292nd Ave SE between SE 392nd St. and SE 408 St due to trees being down

This morning at 9 a.m., there were 508 Puget Sound Energy customers in Enumclaw without power, and 552 in Buckley.

The National Weather Service has extended its wind advisory for the Puget Sound are to 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Winds between 20 and 30 mph are likely with gusts up to 45 mph.

The winds may cause local damage to trees and power lines, with small trees possibly toppling due to satursated soils or recent ice damage, said the advisory.

As of 12:40 a.m., there are now 1,006 Puget Sound Energy customers in Enumclaw without power; 3,434 in Bonney Lake; 498 in Buckley; and 600 in Sumner. Click here to see the latest text updates from PSE.
