Woman Falls 60 Feet Hiking Near Enumclaw: Report

ENUMCLAW, WA - A woman hiking along a trail that crosses under the Kummer Bridge fell about 60 feet Thursday afternoon, according to KOMO News. Fire crews responded to the scene to enact a technical rescue. The woman appears to have fallen down an embankment above the Green River.

According to the report, the woman sustained minor injuries, but was conscious during the rescue. Fire crews spent about an hour pulling her to safety.

This is the second such rescue in that area recently, according to KOMO. On Aug. 1, four people - two teenagers and two adults - fell in the same area and had to be hoisted out by firefighters.
