Everett allocates $41K to design of new gazebo (heraldnet.com) β Everett's City Council has set aside about $41,000 to design a new, historically inspired gazebo for Harborview Park, potentially opening in summer 2027. Modeled after the old Clark Park gazebo removed in 2024, the planned Turnbull Gazebo would be accessible, reservable for events, and positioned to take advantage of views over Possession Sound.

2. Community Transit Announces Aug. 29 Bus Service Changes in Snohomish County (myeverettnews.com) β Bus riders in Everett will see notable changes starting August 29, including Everett Station routes 201 and 202 shifting to new bays and added Swift Blue Line trips from Everett Station. Community Transit is also boosting weekday and weekend service on several Everett-linked routes, adding new stops on W. Casino Road, and opening the new Cathcart Park & Ride to improve regional connections.

South Everett Stabbing and Body Found Near Silver Lake (myeverettnews.com) β Everett police are investigating a midday stabbing near Madison Street and Evergreen Way in South Everett, where both the victim and suspect were last seen on foot. In a separate case, officers also responded to a deceased man found near Silver Lake; the death is not currently considered suspicious, but both situations remain under active investigation.

Everett man arrested in deadly hit-and-run on Mukilteo Speedway (heraldnet.com) β An Everett resident has been arrested after allegedly leaving the scene of a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist on Mukilteo Speedway last week. State troopers say the 38-year-old turned himself in and faces a felony hit-and-run death allegation after a Mukilteo man was killed in the early-morning crash near Beverly Park Road.
