• Ferndale begins conference play with a sweep over Oak Harbor (cascadiadaily.com) — Ferndale High's volleyball team opened conference play in strong fashion, sweeping Oak Harbor 3–0 at home in a loud, student-packed gym. Led by standout hitters Svetlana Baydak and Teia Dube, the Golden Eagles controlled all three sets and now head to Mount Vernon for a Thursday night matchup as they look to build on their 5–1 start.
