2 Pierce County Deputies Involved In Shootings
Two separate officer-involved shooting incidents Thursday in Parkland/Spanaway and Port Orchard.

TACOMA, WA - Pierce County deputies were involved in two shootings Thursday night. The first incident was in the Parkland/Spanaway area at the 200 block of 78th St. Court E. where a suicidal man armed with a knife was shot, according to Q13. The man was upset about a breakup and may have been high on drugs.
The second incident involved a police chase that led deputies to Kitsap County. The chase ended in Port Orchard when a deputy took a single shot at a vehicle. The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is in critical condition, KIRO 7 reported. The passenger was also injured although not from gunfire.
Deputies were not injured in either incident.
