Actual Dumpster Fire Breaks Out Near Gig Harbor: Video
Firefighters believe the fire at the Purdy Transfer Station was started by a lawn mower.

GIG HARBOR, WA β You're probably familiar with metaphorical Dumpster fires. But on Wednesday morning, the Gig Harbor area was treated to a literal Dumpster fire.
Gig Harbor firefighters responded to the Purdy Transfer Station, 14515 54th Ave. Northwest, when a fire broke out in a metal container there. The fire was located in a pile of garbage that included home appliances.
According to firefighters, workers saw a lawnmower in the pile, and so they suspect some gas in the mower's tank sparked the fire. Here's the video:
