Business Person of the Year Star Award gives check to Build CASA

Sue Brayton, recipient of the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor Midday Business Person of the Year Star Award and the recent Rotary Star Award was at lunch today to receive a check for her designated charity.  The award goes to the business person in the community who best demonstrates the Rotary motto of Service Above Self.  The short video produced for the Star Awards was shown at today’s meeting detailing Sue’s outstanding contributions to the community.  Sue is an active twenty-five year CASA volunteer and her myriad other volunteer efforts are truly amazing and well deserving of the award. She chose to give her check to Build CASA. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Build CASA, a 501(C) (3), supports CASA and the children who have been neglected or abused in Pierce County, WA. Bob Anderson, soon to be a new member of the Rotary club, was a founding member of Build CASA and was with Sue to receive the check.
