
Jud Morris, Director, Key Peninsula Family Resource Center received a check for $1,305 from the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor Midday on behalf of all three Gig Harbor Rotary Clubs (Morning, Midday and North) from funds raised at the Holiday Social desert dash. The KP Family Resource Center, also known as the Children's Home Society of Washington, offers home visiting programs, toddler groups, support and mentoring groups as well as resources that give families the tools to thrive and raise happy, healthy children. Seasonal programs, like the Holiday Helpers, provide extra assistance to families during critical times in the year when they need help the most. All of this support is delivered to allow the recipient hope, dignity and respect. In 2012 the Center provided support to 3,785 individuals, up from 800 individuals in 2005. 90% of these Individuals are below the poverty line and 80% are children.
