The Gig Harbor TCC campus Astronomy 101 class is hosting "Astronomy in the Community" event on Wednesday, May 29th from 6:30 to 8 pm in the GHC main lobby.
The students will be leading mini-workshops which include:
The reason for the seasons, phases of the moon, sundials, ancient astronomy, science fiction, miconceptions in astronomy, Harry Potter in astronomy, and more.
It doesn't matter if you know absolutely nothing about astronomy or you are a Nobel Prize winning astrophysicist, you are welcome to attend. Thank you to instructor, Alice Few for making this fun event possible.
