Best Tacos In Gig Harbor? Head To Purdy

GIG HARBOR, WA - Inexpensive, delicious, convenient, good during any season ... there are many reasons to love tacos. To find who's making the best tacos in Gig Harbor, we looked to Yelp reviews and compiled the top five restaurants with the highest ratings (as of Nov. 28, 2016).

Here are the top five taco shops in town:

1. Taqueria Las Torres - This is a taco truck located along Purdy Drive north of downtown. This place had the highest overall review (though fewer reviews than other spots) at four out of five stars. One review wrote: "Killer flavor, and insanely inexpensive prices!"
   
2. El Pueblito - A downtown favorite for all types of Mexican food. One reviewer said that they drove two hours just to eat here. Other reviewers claim that - aside from tacos - El Pueblito throws the best party in town with its Friday karaoke nights.
   
3. Puerto Vallarta - This spot came in just a hair below El Pueblito, although both had close to a four-out-of-five rating. Bring your appetite, reviewers say the portions here are big.
   
4. Blue Agave Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar - Blue Agave is located near the Galaxy Theater and is popular on date nights. Although this is a list about tacos, many reviews highlight the decadent carne asada french fries.
   
5. Moctezuma's Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar - Last but not least, Moctezuma's is virtually tied with Blue Agave. For tacos, reviews recommend the Mexico City tacos and the rib eye tacos. (Note: the menu at this location differs slightly from the Moctezuma locations in Tacoma and Tukwila.)
