Boat Stolen From Gig Harbor Found On Vashon Island
The boat "Carita" was stolen in September while anchored off of Gig Harbor.

VASHON ISLAND, WA - King County Sheriff's deputies have recovered a boat stolen from Gig Harbor in September. The sloop "Carita" was found recently near Vashon Island.
Gig Harbor police issued a bulletin about Carita on Oct. 9, noting that the boat was stolen while it was anchored near Gig Harbor.
On Friday, King County's marine unit reported that deputies had found Carita in Quartermaster Harbor, between Maury and Vashon islands. The deputies also arrested the suspected boat thief.
