Well here we are, experiencing the temperatures we had been waiting for. We have to admit, the past few weeks have been kinder to us.
I think it's amazing that the 70s are warm around here. Having lived in Redding, CA which is the third hottest place around, other than Death Valley and Phoenix, its is quite amusing to me to think its "hot" when its in the 80s. One thing I've realized since living in WA for the past 8 years is that from year to year, you never know what you are going to get, (like a box of chocolates)!
One winter it would be unseasonably warm, the next winter, it made Siberia look tame! One summer, we had temps close to Redding, in fact I thought I brought California with me. Then we have summers like this past one. What I'm learning from this whole weather fiasco is to enjoy one day at a time.

If it's sunny, great, I will relish in the rays. If it's not, oh well, at least the trees are getting their nourishment. That's the attitude you have to have as a Washingtonian in order to not go stark raving mad during the rainy days. At least when the golden orb is out, we appreciate it! Maybe not to the extent of worshipping it, but we do celebrate!
Having a few weeks of beautiful weather can fill up our "need for sun" tank quite nicely that by the time fall comes around, we actually look forward to the holidays and what that brings. The cycle of seasons..... gotta love it. I enjoy all of it, but I have to admit, I'm praying for a warmer winter...sorry ski lodges!
