4 Brush Fires Break Out In Gig Harbor Wednesday
The first fire broke out around 9 a.m. along Pioneer Way near the downtown area.
GIG HARBOR, WA - Firefighters responded to four brush fires across the city on Wednesday, according to Gig Harbor fire. The day began with a brush fire at a bus stop along Pioneer Way in the downtown area. A stand of trees behind a flagpole near Uddenberg Lane caught fire, but firefighters were able to extinguish
On Wednesday evening around 5 p.m., fire crews were trying to tame a large brush fire along 17th Avenue Court Northwest. The fire was contained, however. The department said on Twitter that the 17th Avenue fire was the fourth of the day.
GHFD's crews are responding to a large brush fire in the woods off of 17th Ave Ct. NW in Gig Harbor. Currently deemed contained.
