Cop From Gig Harbor Crashes While Responding To Call
The Port Orchard police officer crashed into a car at an intersection on Sunday afternoon.

PORT ORCHARD, WA - A Port Orchard police officer was involved in a crash in that city Sunday afternoon while responding to an emergency call.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. near the intersection of Lippert Drive and Pottery Avenue. Jon T. Eilertson, 32, of Gig Harbor, was responding to a call and had his sirens engaged, according to Washington State Patrol. A car driven by Ashley N. Tobin pulled into the intersection, and the two vehicles collided.
Eilertson was not injured, but Tobin was taken to Bremerton Harrison Hospital and later released.

WSP is still investigating the crash and has not said yet whether anyone will be charged or fined.
