Does Gig Harbor actually have a planning department?

I wake up this morning to the sound of heavy equipment tearing up Skansie Ave in my backyard again. What a surprise (not). It was exactly a year ago Skansie was ripped up (with all the accompanying noise and dust lasting a month)  to accommodate a sewer line for Rush's new project at Hunt/Skanie. Now, after a full year of driving on the worst patch job of a road I've ever seen...they are ripping up the center of the road for a water line to supply this project!  This time the noise, dust and traffic mess is scheduled to last FIVE full weeks! Good grief, is anything in this town planned?  Oh well, I know the answer, the big developers do as they like. After all, its not in their backyard. Time to buy some more ear plugs.
