About
Eddon Boatyard: Eddon Boatyard is an old
boat yard saved from redevelopment a few years ago and now home to the "The Gig Harbor BoatShop". They are open for tours daily except
Wednesday 10am to 4pm. Eddon Boatyard is the birthplace of the Thunderbird
Sailboat and in 2012, they launched PIROUETTE, Thunderbird No.2, after a long
restoration. The dock at Eddon Boatyard is available for our use.
Parking: There are about a dozen trailer parking spots
at or near the county boat ramp. There are four spots at Eddon Boatyard
available to vehicles with hand launch boats (no trailers), and free
on-street parking in front of Eddon Boatyard. Gig Harbor will be full of
tourists so don't expect to park a trailer on the street downtown.
