Bark and Bid is Prison Pet Partnership's 10th annual charity auction and primary fundraiser every year! Bark and Bid is a silent and live auction, sit down dinner and all around great evening!
Prison Pet Partnership (PPP) enriches the lives of homeless animals, inmates and the community through the human-animal bond. We provide on the job training in the pet care industry for the inmates employed with our program at the Washington Corrections Center for Women. We operate a boarding and grooming business for community members, run entirely by the women. PPP also adopts dogs from area shelters and rescue groups and trains them in basic obedience through service and therapy dog skills. The dogs that are qualified for service and therapy work are placed with individuals on our waitlist with mobility disabilities, seizure disorders and some other conditions as well. The dogs are placed at almost no cost while the national average for a service dog soars to $20,000.
Come enjoy delicious food, great company and hear just how strong an impact PPP has on the lives of so many in our community! We'll have a few of our service dogs-in-training there for you to meet as well! Adults and well behaved children welcome!
