“Eye of an Artist” Seminar with Watercolor Artist Sherri Bails

Award-winning watercolorist and lifelong art educator  Sherri Bails will hold a free seminar “Eye of an Artist” on the qualities of a strong watercolor painting highlighting design and painting techniques on March 12th at 2 pm at Morso.  

With a degree in art education from Northern Illinois University, Sherri has taught about watercolor art to all experience levels.  Currently she teaches at Tacoma Community College and previously at the university, junior high and elementary levels. Also, Sherri holds numerous workshops throughout the Puget Sound and in Hawaii.

Sherri’s own art projects encompass both traditional and contemporary watercolor styles. Her contemporary pieces have been selected to appear on exhibition catalog covers and in juried art shows, including the impressive Seattle CoArts Annual Show and the respected Signature American Watercolor Exhibition in Fallbrook, CA.

Sherri is a member of the Women Painters of Washington, Seattle CoArts, American Watercolor Society, and earned status as a Signature Member of the Northwest Watercolor Society in 2008. Some of Sherri’s work can be viewed on her website, www.sherribails.com.
