The Fundamentals of French Cuisine I

Join Chef Jasmine Biernacki for an evening steeped in French flavors, cooking technique, and joie de vivre!  This class is the first in a two-part series highlighting the foundations of French cooking.  The techniques in this class will be presented as they relate to a selection of classical French dishes, but are useful for everyday cooking!   

Menu to include:

Gougeres (technique: pate a choux, piping skills)
Tapenade (technique: knife skills)
Mussels with Wine (technique: steaming shellfish)

Whole Roasted Chicken (techniques: roasting, roux based sauces)
Duchesse Potatoes (technique: perfect mashed potatoes, piping skills)
Swiss Chard Gratin (technique: saute, white sauce)

Crepes with Hazelnut and Chocolate (technique: crepe making)

This is a hands-on class; a family-style dinner and wine pairings are included in the price.
